Freezing Feet, Warm Hearts: Pupils Run 1,093 km for Charity

Last Wednesday, Thames students turned the icy cold into a triumph, running a staggering 1,093 km in our annual cross-country sponsorship event. Parents bundled up to cheer from the sidelines as students raced to raise funds for Go MAD in Tanzania and A21 Campaign. With a running total of £2,880 (and much more expected), the finish line isn’t just about the distance—it’s about the impact. Donations are due by Monday 2 December, so don’t forget to transfer your sponsorships using XC24 and your child’s name as a reference. A huge shoutout to our top performers! Caleb and Eric, Year 11, set the pace, with Noah, Lydia, Samuel, Rufus and Elsie from Year 10 not far behind. Year 9 stars Nathan, Alex, and Faye delivered strong runs, while Josiah, Anna, and Ava led the charge in Year 8. The youngest year group didn’t disappoint either, with Isaac, Juliet, and Taliya shining in Year 7. Well done to everyone who braved the cold and gave it their all—you’re all champions in our books!
